Backward

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

— J.R.R. Tolkein, The Fellowship of the Ring

December Thoughts

1. “Hard work” is overrated, and discipline is underrated.

2. The two-faced personality is found commonly in everyone. A few are separated from the rest: individuals who pursue a consistent, maintained expression of themselves.

3. Most people justify their own hypocrisy via defense mechanisms and excuses, yet oftentimes they cannot tolerate others’ hypocrisies — a hypocritical paradox.

4. HELL QUARTER IS OVER!

5. Winter quarter should be pretty nice as long as it doesn’t rain too much. Biking in the rain is bad business.

6. Focus focus focus.

7. 2012 ends, 2013 begins.

And with that comes an end to my end of month posts. Don’t go on tumblr much anymore, just stuck with doing EOM’s till 2012 was over. Catch me in the real world!

Beautiful #sunset today on the way back from LA. 2013 here we go!
